Fidelis Ecclesia members:

Search for Spiritual Unity with Christ

Seek out the face of God through prayer and spiritual reading.

Recognize that we must know Christ intimately and join with him in spiritual union if we are to bring Christ to others.

Acknowledge that We are the Church

Seek knowledge of the Gospel and Catholic doctrine. Realize as "the Church" we bear responsibility for its mission to proclaim Christ to all peoples.

Implore the help of Our Blessed Mother & the Saints

Particularly under the advocacy of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Star of the New Evangelization and St. John Paul II

Proclaim Christ to all

Follow the gospel message & directive of St. John Paul the Great:

"To be Christians means to be missionaries, to be apostles. It is not enough to discover Christ, you must bring him to others."

Mission:

To encourage the laity to develop a richer spiritual life, provide the tools to inspire & equip them to accept the responsibility of being the Church, and empower them to fulfill Christ's command to proclaim Christ to all peoples.

Why St. John Paul II  & Our Lady of Guadalupe?
The world is aware of Pope John Paul II's mission to evangelize and proclaim the gospel of Our Lord and so he is the model of what we aspire to. St. John Paul also said we must know the
face of Christ. We cannot bring others to Him if we do not know Him.

When he visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 1979, he consecrated his papacy to her.

On January 22, 1999, he named Our Lady of Guadalupe the patroness of Americas, called her the Star of the New Evangelization and raised her feast day, December 12th to a solemnity in the Americas.

St. JohnPaul II

Fidelis Ecclesia is a call to holiness grounded  on the spirituality of St. John Paul the Great and under the Advocacy of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Fidelis Ecclesia (faithful church) calls us to be apostles.

A Faithful church is one that knows Christ intimately and seeks to proclaim Him to the world.

St. John Paul the Great evangelized the world and summoned us to; do the same. He encouraged us to know Christ by sitting at the knee of His mother in the same manner as Christ did.

On his trip to Mexico in 1979, he dedicated the Americas to the patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He referred to Our Lady as the Star of the New Evangelization. She is the perfect example of evangelization because after she appeared to Juan Diego 9 million people convertid to Christianity.

Redemptoris Missio

In his December 7, 1990 encyclical, Redemptoris Missio, he states:

The mission of Christ the Redeemer, which is entrusted to the Church, is still very far from completion. As the second millennium after Christ's coming draws to an end, an overall view of the human race shows that this mission is still only beginning and that we must commit ourselves wholeheartedly to its service. It is the Spirit who impels us to proclaim the great works of God: "For if I preach the Gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel!"

(1 Cor 9: 16) Entire encyclical

Where to Begin

First and foremost, Fidelis Ecclesia strives to enable the laity to grow in personal holiness and knowledge in order to nurture and defend a strong, faithful church that is equipped to proclaim the gospel and withstand the threats of moral relativism that assault mankind and the church.

It is also a response to those who say, "We have read about the New Evangelization, we agree that the Church is in need but what do we do now?"

Explore

We have divided this site into four sections. One each for St. Pope John Paul and Our Lady of Guadalupe so that you can read & learn more about them...........

The Formation section includes a spiritual, biblical and evangelistic program along with tools and links to help you grow.

Under the Members Section we have included a forum where you can discuss various topics with others as well as make suggestions to other faithful Catholics who are trying to evangelize their churches and communities.

We must know Christ intimately before we can bring Him to others. The only way to form an intimate relationship is to spend time with that person.
Empower
Establish within the church  a body of believers equipped with the tools  they need to carry out Christ's commission to proclaim the Gospel.
